Housing Safety Compliance Specialist

Estimated Salary: £18.06 per hour

This role provides vital health and safety monitoring support to the housing team, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a safe environment for tenants.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating local and central health and safety records
  • Carrying out regular health and safety inspections of shared housing properties
  • Ensuring tenants understand their health and safety obligations and supporting housing officers in taking enforcement action as necessary
  • Working closely with contractors and attending sites to facilitate works
  • Conducting 6 monthly health and safety checks of shared houses using established procedures
  • Reporting all health and safety breaches to the Head of Housing and supporting enforcement actions including preparation of warning letters
