Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Education Solicitor to join our team. As an Education Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients in relation to education law matters, including Special Education Needs (SEN) and school admission appeals.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of education law and a proven track record of providing excellent client care. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of education law matters, including SEN cases, school admission appeals, and adult social care issues. You will also be required to work closely with other team members to provide technical expertise and guidance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in relation to education law matters
  • Manage a caseload of education law matters, including SEN cases, school admission appeals, and adult social care issues
  • Work closely with other team members to provide technical expertise and guidance
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in education law and policy
Requirements
  • Must have a clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
  • Committed team player with excellent client care skills
  • Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators
  • Professional with a pro-active approach and excellent networking and communication skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment
  • Clear understanding and application of Education Law specifically Special Education Needs matters (SEN), School admission appeals
  • Essential that candidates have previous experience in the areas of education and adult social services
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
