Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Customs Broker to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient clearance of goods through customs. As a Customs Broker, you will be responsible for navigating complex regulatory requirements, providing top-tier service to our diverse clientele, and staying up-to-date on changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with supply chain partners and third-party transportation partners to determine the most effective way to fulfill customer orders.

  • Prepare, review, and process necessary customs documentation, including import/export declarations, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

  • Perform due diligence activities associated with the screening process of third parties, with the ability to check at the transactional level.

  • Stay updated on changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Experience in customs clearance.

  • Knowledge and experience of Descartes.

  • Proficiency in basic home-use customs clearance procedures.

  • Excellent customer service aptitude.

  • Exceptional organizational abilities, adept at prioritization and meeting deadlines under pressure.

  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
