The Thorn Baker Group is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our painting and decorating services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Work from detailed drawings and specifications to deliver high-quality finishes.
  • Apply paint and coatings to internal walls and ceilings, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct snagging works to identify and rectify any defects or issues.
  • Apply gloss finishes to woodwork, maintaining the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to all health and safety measures on site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety procedures.
  • Hold a valid IPAF ticket and operate aerial lifts safely and efficiently.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Hold an in-date CSCS card and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
  • Provide two commercial relevant references that demonstrate your skills and experience in painting and decorating.
  • Display a strong work ethic and a 'can-do' attitude, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Be punctual and reliable, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering on commitments.
  • Be available to start immediately and be flexible in your approach to work.
