Quality Assurance Specialist

At Storm Recruitment (Swindon), we are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support our client's quality control measures. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining or precision mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise directly with the production team to provide support and guidance on process improvements.

Ensure that all customer specifications are met and maintained, and quality planning and process documentation is organized.

Conduct internal data analysis, raise and document internal NCRs, and use problem-solving techniques to review and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Validate customer complaints, implement corrective actions, and use common quality tools such as 8D and 5 whys.

Understand the creation, controls, and input of data from drawings, standards, and specifications into the company's MRP system.

Monitor quality KPIs, assist in constructing a monthly report, and ensure system audit schedules are maintained.

Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers, and demonstrate experience with problem resolution and root cause analysis.

Be computer literate, confident with a willingness to learn new skills, self-motivated, and able to work without supervision in a multi-functional team environment.

Possess a meticulous approach to measurement, comparison with standards, and monitoring of processes.

Training will be provided for the right candidate where applicable.
