About the Role

The Vice Principal - Quality of Education is a newly created position at Greenhead College, a highly successful Sixth Form College with a strong ethos of ambition and aspiration. The postholder will lead on the development and effectiveness of the College's curriculum offer and pedagogical approach, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their future careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the development and effectiveness of the College's curriculum offer and pedagogical approach
  • Be the College's Ofsted Nominee and ensure that the College is Ofsted ready
  • Have significant line management responsibility, including direct reports such as Assistant Principals, Pedagogy Leaders, and Exams Manager
  • Lead on the development of cohesive and effective staff CPD

Greenhead College is a highly successful Sixth Form College with a strong ethos of ambition and aspiration. The College has been providing high-quality academic education for 50 years and is heavily oversubscribed. The College has an annual income in excess of £16.5 million and employs 285 staff. The College is committed to safeguarding the welfare of all students and staff and is committed to diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Significant and successful recent middle or senior management experience in a Sixth Form College, General Further Education College, or school with a significant Sixth Form
  • Good understanding of 16-18 education
  • Ability to lead on the development and effectiveness of the College's curriculum offer and pedagogical approach
  • Strong leadership and management skills
