Tax Director Role: A Crucial Position

In this significant role, you will be directly responsible to the Tax Director, playing a pivotal part in the review and completion of tax returns for a diverse client portfolio and identifying opportunities to contribute towards the development of a larger advisory function.

  • Personal Tax Returns: Oversee personal tax returns, providing support to junior staff with technical queries.
  • Complex Tax Returns: Completion of complex tax returns.
  • Client Liaison: Act as a primary contact for clients, attending meetings as needed, and supporting in providing strategic business and tax advisory services.
  • Support to Tax Director: Support the Tax Director with advisory projects and ad hoc tax advice for clients.
  • Client Portfolio Management: Proven experience managing a diverse client portfolio in an accounting practice.
  • Tax Legislation: In-depth knowledge of tax legislation.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in personal tax and capital allowances for sole traders and partnerships, as well as a good understanding of Corporation Tax.
  • Tax Advisory Knowledge: Sound tax advisory knowledge enabling you to advise owner-managed businesses and families covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax, and all Company Tax issues.
  • Succession Planning: Experience of succession planning and corporate restructuring for company clients would be welcomed but not essential.
  • Tax Issue Resolution: Proficiency in addressing complex tax issues.
