Calling all night owls, Ashton 24hr is a dynamic and forward-thinking 5-6 vet practice with plans to expand its operations in the future. Our experienced and capable team provides strong links to neighbouring in-region referral units, ensuring that your cases are well looked after following the end of your shifts. For support during your night shifts, you will have the assistance of an experienced night RVN as well as a twilight PCA for the busier early parts of your shift.
About this RoleWe are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic night vet to work on an annualised rota of 3 nights on followed by 25 nights off. The other 25 nights are already covered with experienced vets. This role involves sole charge work working exclusively nights and will be suited for someone who ideally has at least 2 years of in-practice experience. We appreciate good communication and handover skills to ensure your patients receive the best quality care after you've left the building.
This role is intended to be flexible enough to let you maintain a steady working pattern with the option to develop further. As part of our commitment to supporting your career development, we offer:

As a Veterinary Night Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance. You will also proactively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
