Job Overview

This role is part of the Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar team, supporting the development of children in a primary school afterschool club environment.

Compensation Package

The salary for this position includes a Distant Islands Allowance and ranges from £5072 to £5565 per annum.

Job Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Senior Playworker to plan and implement play programs and activities.
  • Support day-to-day administration of the club.
  • Provide cover for the Senior Playworker as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in childcare with relevant qualifications that meet SSSC requirements for Practitioners.
  • Knowledge of child development and familiarity with activities suitable for primary school age children.

This post requires membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme for regulated work with children. The appointment will be made on the first point of the grade, with the salary inclusive of the Distant Islands Allowance.
