Job Opportunity at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Nurse to join our Early Phase Oncology Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist research and clinical care to our participants, managing and coordinating delegated research studies, and facilitating communication with the patient and clinical team.

About the Role

This is a full-time post within our award-winning team, working 24/7 to bring exciting research opportunities to UHS for the benefit of our patients and for the future of healthcare. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, implementing studies to translate scientific discoveries into improved patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist research and clinical care to our participants
  • Manage and coordinate delegated research studies
  • Facilitate communication with the patient and clinical team
  • Develop and implement research protocols
  • Conduct patient visits, administer new novel treatments, and collect data
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse / Statutory Registered Allied Health Professional on relevant part of the register NMC / HCPC
  • Evidence of on-going professional development
  • Post registration experience in a relevant clinical speciality
  • Recent NHS experience or equivalent
  • Understanding of personal accountability
  • Provide evidence of teaching and supporting learners in practice
  • International Conference on Harmonisation/Good Clinical Practice (ICH/GCP) Certification
