About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the SELCS Professional Services team as an Academic Administrative Officer. The successful candidate will provide professional, comprehensive administrative support to staff and students in SELCS, building and maintaining good working relationships with academic colleagues across the department.

The role is cyclical in nature, experiencing peaks and troughs across the academic year. The post holder may occasionally need to work outside of standard office hours to meet the requirements of the post, with time off in lieu provided.

About You

We are looking for an experienced administrative professional who has previously worked in a Higher Education institution in an academic unit or a comparable role. You will have a good understanding of the types of issues that these environments create and how to deal with them.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with academic colleagues and students. You will also have a high level of organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
