Security and Traffic Operations Specialist

Job Summary:
Serco is seeking a highly skilled Security and Traffic Operations Specialist to join our team at RAF Brize Norton. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of security and traffic services under the instruction of the security shift supervisor.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of daily duties and incidents, which may be required to be recalled in a court of law.
- Control access and egress of vehicle traffic, military personnel, visitors, contractors, and unit employees at the main gate.
- Manage the flow of traffic and pedestrians.
- Verify ID cards and vehicle permits to ensure only authorized individuals gain access to the unit.
- Assist in searches of vehicles, visitors, and baggage when delegated.
- Provide welcoming services to visitors, contractors, and deliveries, verifying their requirements and ID.
- Respond to and carry out emergency procedures as delegated.
- Provide vehicle escort services for visiting, delivery, and collection vehicles for ESA and Air Cargo.
Requirements:
- UK Driving License for car (essential) with no more than 6 points.
- Ability to hold a color perception category of the required standard to enable the issue of an Airfield Driving Permit.
- Ideally hold a SIA License (not essential).
