Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1

Location: North Liverpool, UK

Contract Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are a dynamic and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, assisting with the planning and preparation of classroom materials and resources, and contributing to the maintenance of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils, adapting instruction to meet individual needs
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons, including planning and resource creation
  • Help to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and relationships
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational policies and procedures
  • Support the class teacher in monitoring and evaluating pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these
Essential Criteria:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above)
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
  • A flexible and proactive approach to duties

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
