Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partnership SEN school in Stockport.

The school focuses on a child-centred approach, providing every child with the best opportunity to succeed.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and creative activities
  • Assist children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Create a safe and fun learning environment for children to reach their full potential
  • Record assessments of children's learning and development

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with SEN children in a school or care environment
  • A calm and positive attitude and personality
  • The ability to form good relationships with children and staff
  • Personal care, moving and handling, and BSL experience is desirable
  • Full-time availability within school hours

As part of our safer recruitment guidelines, all applicants will be subject to standard vetting checks, including the obtainment of:

  • Two most previous employment references
  • Registering an enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Applicants who have lived outside of the UK for 6 months or more in the last 5 years will be required to present an overseas criminal check (Police check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date.
