We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Berry Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
  • Select and install the correct tooling for each job
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the correct dimensions for bending
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements
  • Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and cleaning
  • Use hand tools effectively to assist in the production process

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in sheet metal fabrication
  • Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and selecting appropriate tooling
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
  • Knowledge of sheet metal properties and behaviours
  • Competency in using various measuring tools
