About the Role

As a Project Planning Lead at BakerHicks, you will oversee and lead planning and scheduling activities for a significant EPCM project in Ayrshire, Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and experience to drive project success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain accurate project schedules, incorporating all relevant activities, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilisation of manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Schedule Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress against established schedules, tracking actual performance and comparing it to planned timelines.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate and assess schedule risks and uncertainties, identifying potential threats to project timelines and developing effective mitigation strategies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or similar qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in project planning, scheduling, or project management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
About You

We are looking for someone who possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate schedule risks. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

A proven track record of leading project planning efforts and coordinating cross-functional teams is essential. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the pharmaceutical sector is also highly desirable.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in project planning and scheduling are critical.
