**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Learning Support Assistant to join our team at London South East Colleges. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about improving learner experience and working closely with young people, their families, and external support.

About the Role:

  • To strengthen the day-to-day support and learning experience in and out of the classroom environment for all students receiving ALS within your designated curriculum area.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers and other support specialists to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • To provide support and guidance to colleagues in a variety of transition activities and settings, as well as dealing with complex situations by demonstrating effective communication and tact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of inclusive learning strategies to meet the needs of diverse student groups.
  • Providing high-quality support and guidance to students, staff, and stakeholders to promote academic success and well-being.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicating effectively with students, staff, and stakeholders to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Higher Level Teaching Assistant or equivalent).
  • Experience of working in a educational setting, particularly in supporting learners with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The College also offers a range of benefits, including pension schemes, employee assistance programme, free onsite parking, and access to the onsite gym.
