The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our quality and environmental processes and procedures are effectively deployed and compliant with UK regulations, ISO9001, ISO14001, and Achilles Verify standards across all our sites and locations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Quality and Environmental Advice
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of quality and environment to our businesses and stakeholders.
  • Process Standardization
    • Support the standardization of processes within our CONNECT SharePoint system to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Document Control
    • Maintain effective document control procedures through a document control process and register.
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation
    • Compile quality and environmental incident reports and support incident investigations as required.
  • Inspections and Audits
    • Conduct quality and environmental inspections, support corrective measures, and promote lessons learned as required.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with our quality and environmental policies and with UK environmental regulations.
    • Notify reportable environmental incidents to our clients and SEPA.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Support our quality and environmental champions with the implementation of continual improvement initiatives, such as the 5 Golden Rules, Right First Time concepts, Single Use Plastic reduction, Cost of Poor Quality, and Carbon reduction plans.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar quality and environmental role, ideally within an engineering or construction environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of quality and environmental systems and procedures.
  • Good awareness of ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality standards.
  • Experience in auditing, implementing improvement activities, and building a positive culture within a business.
  • A full UK driving license is essential for the role, as travel to various sites will be required.
