Job Title: Mobile HGV Technician / Field Service Engineer

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:00

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join our team as a Mobile HGV Technician / Field Service Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections and maintenance on a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, including HGVs, road tankers, gritters, RCVs, and diesel and EV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles
  • Perform MOT preparation and scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
  • Conduct 6 (or 8) weekly inspections and correct running defects
  • Carry out chassis and fabrication work, hydraulics and pneumatics, and electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
  • Improve vehicle standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Full qualification in HGV maintenance (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification desirable
  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
