Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in delivering strategic defence contracts and supporting our business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new products in line with our New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring designs meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to explore business opportunities at the project concept stage.
  • Enhance design tools and systems to boost productivity within the NPI process.
  • Produce detailed drawings and bills of materials for product configuration and ERP tools.
  • Generate technical documentation in line with the NPI process.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role.
  • Demonstrable experience in development and delivery projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of software and programming is advantageous.
  • HNC/Degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent.
  • Proficient in engineering tools (e.g., SolidWorks).
