Academic Skills Mentor

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Skills Mentor to join our team of Remedy Tutors. As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students in developing their academic skills and confidence.
This role is based in the Sutton area, offering a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum. We value the contributions of all our staff members and strive to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Assisting students in developing their academic skills, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Providing individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to set and achieve goals.
- Collaborating with other educators and staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in education.
Requirements:
- Displaying exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Exhibiting a passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
- Showcasing creativity and flexibility in lesson planning, adapting to different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintaining a patient and empathetic approach when working with students facing learning challenges.
