Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Housing Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Sanctuary Personnel Ltd. As an Occupational Therapist - Housing Specialist, you will work with adults, particularly older people, to provide solutions to their housing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with the local authority Adaptation Team and Equipment Services to identify risks in the home and provide solutions to mitigate these risks.
• Document your work, including writing case notes, reports, and specifications.
• Travel to Southend-on-Sea and other locations as required, with occasional wider UK travel and overnight stops.
• Collaborate with surveyors, architects, building trades, and planning departments to ensure effective home adaptations.
• Hold a clean driver's licence and be happy to travel and stay away from home if needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science honours degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapy.
• Current driving licence and access to transport.
• 2-3 years occupational therapist experience specialising in Housing and Manual Handling.
• Some experience working with surveyors, architects, building trades, and planning departments.
