Tangram is seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Mechanic Specialist to join our team at our Christchurch Branch. This role involves supporting the business by maintaining our fleet of over 100 trucks in roadworthy condition, adhering to regulatory standards. The estimated salary for this position is $NZD 80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular vehicle and body/unit servicing according to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Conduct thorough technical inspections of vehicles, identifying potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Manage job processing through the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate records of all ongoing maintenance work.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate and experience in preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of fleet trucks.
  • Preference will be given to those with hydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance experience and/or experience in automotive electrical/electronic fault diagnosis.
