SEN Teaching Assistant Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Worthing. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting children with a wide range of special educational needs, including ADHD, Autism, Speech and Language Therapy, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and general Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children with various special educational needs, including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and SLT.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver tailored learning plans that cater to individual student needs.
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work one-on-one with children who require additional support, as well as in small group settings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Desirable experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or related field.
  • Passion for working with children with SEND, particularly those with ADHD, ASD, SEMH, and SLT.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
