Pumping Station Technician Required

We are looking for an experienced Pumping Station Technician to join our team in Avonmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pumping station equipment, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, and resolving any issues that arise.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. A valid UK driver's license is also essential.

The salary for this role is £45,000 per annum, plus a bonus scheme and 25 days of annual leave. Our company offers a range of benefits, including an enhanced pension scheme and cycle-to-work scheme.

About the Position

This position involves performing routine and reactive maintenance tasks on various pumping station equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The candidate will be responsible for completing planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance work in various environments, reading OEM manuals and technical drawings, and liaising with operations to prioritize rectification of unserviceable machinery using fault-finding diagnostic methodologies and equipment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a NVQ3 in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline, strong hydraulic and pneumatic experience, and a minimum of 5 years of practical engineering experience. Strong digital skills, including SAP, are also essential. Management or supervisory experience is beneficial, as well as a good understanding of engineering management systems and processes.
