Job Title: Senior IT Consultant

Apptad Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for delivering infrastructure services and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, monitor, and close change requests to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff, ensuring they have the necessary technical expertise.
  • Engage internal or external service providers to resolve issues and support DCO service delivery.
  • Coordinate and monitor work conducted by internal and external service providers, ensuring mitigation of adverse impact.
  • Document and implement infrastructure change requests.
  • Update incident reporting and identify and mitigate risks to the infrastructure.
  • Maintain and update the Configuration Management Database.
  • Support the maintenance and update of the Application Portfolio Management solution.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience with ITIL Change Management.
  • SSL/TLS certificate is required.

Evaluation Breakdown:

1. ITIL Management (30%):

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing change requests.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing a Configuration Management Database.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with ITIL concepts and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with Corporate Change Incident Problem and Release Management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Datacentre Protocols and Procedures Guides and working in an Uptime Certified Tier IV & Tier II Datacentre.

2. Documentation and Communication (20%):

  • Demonstrated knowledge for engaging appropriate internal or external service provider resources as required to resolve issues in order to mitigate support failure and interruption to Datacentre operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of guiding monitoring and coordinating work conducted by internal and external service providers providing direction on work procedures and ensuring mitigation of adverse impact.
  • Demonstrated ability for strong documentation and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge for providing incident resolution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engaging vendors to address incidents/issues.
  • Demonstrated ability of working with and supporting multiple technical teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in using Office 365 Remedy/eSMT ticketing system.

3. Technical Knowledge (10%):

  • Demonstrated knowledge building IT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge working with and supporting multiple technical teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with VCentre VMware and building and maintaining virtual servers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge building and supporting servers of Windows Solaris AIX.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of networking installation supporting and configuring network devices (routers switches firewalls and load balancers).
  • Demonstrated knowledge building and supporting backup infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge installing configuring and supporting SAN and Tape Library Infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of server installation and configuration and loading of the Operating System including virtual servers.

4. Certificate Support (10%):

  • Demonstrated experience in SSL/TLS certificate signing and support.
