We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our on-site team, you will be responsible for completing fire detection and gaseous suppression servicing on electrical systems at a nuclear power station.

Key Responsibilities

* Work as part of the on-site team to complete fire detection and gaseous suppression servicing on electrical systems
* Undertake client and third-party training to work on a nuclear site
* Communicate with clients on a daily basis to receive work instructions and permits to work
* Provide on-call cover to the single site of work, on a week-on-week-off basis
* Complete fire detection maintenance testing, commissioning, witness testing, and client training on site where required
* Reporting of any near misses/H&S issues with immediate effect to FLM and client
* Completion of site documentation to ensure both accuracy and expediency
* Work to high standards of health and safety, ensuring compliance with all legislation

Requirements

* Experience on nuclear power stations and their regulations
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to deal with new and unexpected situations with a proactive and professional approach
* Electrical experience ideally within the fire detection industry
* Must hold a full driving license
* Relevant gas suppression experience (CO2, Inergen & Novec), and passive fire protection equipment is desirable
* Must be willing to travel for training when required
