About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Hastings Hotels. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotels and providing exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine and remedial work to maintain equipment and utilities
  • Ensure adequate and appropriate spares and parts stock and records are maintained
  • Assist in ensuring all emergency equipment is maintained in working order and procedures are effective and implemented
  • Assist with the maintenance of a safe environment in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Assist with the maintenance of effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments, suppliers and agencies to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction
Requirements
  • A right to work within the United Kingdom
  • Work well under pressure and be a team player
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Smart well-groomed appearance
  • Good communication, numeracy and IT skills
  • Educated to GCSE Standard or the equivalent including English and Maths
  • Approved maintenance experience gained within commercial buildings
