Guidant Global is seeking a skilled Gardener to join their team on behalf of their client. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance and horticultural operations in public parks, outdoor sports grounds, school grounds, landscaped areas, and other public open spaces.

• Undertake grounds maintenance and horticultural operations to a high standard, adhering to quality and Health & Safety requirements.
• Identify and address common horticultural pests and diseases.
• Operate a range of horticultural machinery, including specialist machines.
• Drive vehicles and ride-on horticultural machinery, ensuring safe operation.
• Carry out routine maintenance of sports surfaces, including fertilising, scarifying, and aeration.
• Perform daily visual playground checks and report any hazards or damage.
• Assist senior staff with advanced activities as required.

• NVQ Level 2 certificate in horticulture or equivalent qualification.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to grounds maintenance and amenity horticulture.
• NPTC PA1 & PA6A Spraying Certificate.
• Safe Use of Ride-On Mowers LANTRA Certificate.
• Safety Awareness Training Certificate.

Please note that this role is physically demanding and requires manual handling, load lifting, and some excavation work. The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
