Job Title:

Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful individual to work as a Teaching Assistant in our school in Maidstone.

This role requires someone who is passionate about education and has the ability to inspire and support students to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to provide individual and small-group support to students who may need additional help with their studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in lesson preparation and organisation of classroom resources.
  • Provide academic support to students, helping them understand and complete tasks.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and encouraging active learning.
  • Monitor student progress and document achievements, communicating insights with the teaching team.
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, using compassion and patience to help them feel understood and valued.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
  • Ability to remain flexible and thrive in diverse classroom settings.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential for candidates with a passion for education and willingness to learn.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection (certification is a plus).
  • Updated CV and enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
