UPS Supply Chain Solutions is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse team in Coventry. Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the day-to-day running of the warehouse team, circa 40 staff, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Yard control, including organization of arriving and departing vehicles, storage of pallets and equipment, and ensuring compliance with UK warehouse legislation.
  • Performance management, reporting on variances, and implementing corrective actions to achieve client KPIs.
  • Organize training, recognize potential in employees, and provide opportunities for advancement.
  • Facility audits, security, health and safety, and MHE license compliance.
  • Ensure maintenance of all equipment, including MHE and IT systems.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound order flows, ensure cut-off times are adhered to, and that all orders are shipped on time.
  • Enforce health and safety policies and procedures, and site inductions for all workforce members.
  • Prepare and give PCMs and other feedback to the workforce.
  • Workforce planning, including arranging staff rotas, work shift patterns, and using data to build forecasts.
  • Ensure inventory cycle counting routines are maintained, and UPS assets and equipment are deployed effectively and maintained to appropriate standards.
  • Escalation point for customers, both internal and external, and present customer performance review calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Travel to various UPS locations for training or assistance, and prepare forecasts for warehouse costs, ensuring these are maintained and reported on.

Requirements



  • Proven supervisory experience in the logistics/warehouse industry.
  • Experience with transport and distribution operations.
  • Able to manage effectively to provide results and excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Sound commercial understanding and judgement.
  • IT literate, particularly in MS Excel and Word.
  • Self-motivated and innovative.
