About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as On-Call Firefighters. As a key member of our emergency response service, you will play a vital role in providing cover across Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency incidents, including fires, road traffic collisions, and other emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with other firefighters to provide efficient and effective emergency cover.
  • Develop your skills and work independently to ensure the highest level of service delivery.
  • Operate at heights and confined spaces, and maintain a reasonable level of personal fitness.
  • Keep calm under pressure and work well in a team environment.
Benefits
  • An annual salary (retainer fee) paid monthly, plus an hourly rate and disturbance fee for attending incidents.
  • An hourly fee for attending drill nights and training courses.
