Hospital Maintenance Porter


We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Maintenance Porter to join our team at Nuffield Health Hospital in Hereford.


As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing general assistance and support within the hospital. This will include collecting post daily, completing minor maintenance work around the hospital, carrying out waste and pathology collections, and providing general upkeep of the external grounds.


In this varied and physical role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with constant interaction with all areas of the hospital. You will also directly support the Ward in the transfer of patients to and from theatre.


To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable with a physical role which may involve pushing beds and lifting heavy equipment. You will also need to be a good communicator as the role involves interaction with all areas of the hospital.


You will have experience of working in a customer service / customer facing environment, and hold a valid driving license. Compliance with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks is required if successful.


We offer a competitive salary of £12.01 per hour and a benefits package that includes holiday in line with the Working Time Directive, access to our pension scheme, and discounted gym membership at £15.00 a month.
