Communications Specialist

At Swindon Borough Council, we strive to create a better future for our town. Our ambitious vision is supported by realistic transformation programmes, with the people of Swindon at their heart. As a key member of our Communications Team, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our goals.
As a talented communications professional, you will be responsible for producing effective and engaging content to support Council priorities. This will involve planning, delivering, and evaluating communication activity across various channels, including media relations, social media, newsletters, and our website.
One of your key contributions will be to manage the internal communications needs linked to the delivery of our significant transformation programme. This programme aims to help the Council maximise outcomes for residents and value for money.
You will also be involved in the delivery of a range of external and internal communications work, supporting Council priorities. This will require you to forge great relationships with a wide variety of people at all levels across the organisation.
We are looking for a communications professional who is fluent in English and has excellent writing and project management skills. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the development of our Communications Team.
