About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate English Teacher to join our team at an inclusive SEN school in Colchester. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in English and prior experience teaching SEN students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create individualized lesson plans focused on literacy skills, helping students build confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
- Collaborate with an experienced SEN team to design creative, adaptive learning materials that make English engaging for students with diverse learning challenges.
- Emphasize personal growth and confidence-building, supporting students both academically and socially as they develop essential literacy skills.
Requirements:
- QTS with a strong foundation in English and prior experience teaching SEN students.
- Proven ability to adapt English curriculum content, creating lessons that cater to a variety of learning needs and levels.
- Excellent communication skills, along with patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with SEN students.
- Clear DBS check required to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
