Award-winning Arla Foods is looking for a dedicated Night Shift Operations Leader to lead their Operations team at the Oswestry Cheese Packaging Facility in Shropshire.

About the Role:
  • Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment, leading a team to achieve objectives, and optimizing production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Compliance: Implement 5S principles, maintain GMP standards, and ensure compliance with Arla's standards in terms of Food Safety, H&S, Environment.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, support, and manage direct reports, including investigations and performance management.
  • Production Efficiency: Optimize production processes, minimize costs, and ensure stability. Work closely with the M&E team leader to resolve technical issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven track record of managing large teams in a fast-paced environment, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Skills: Basic understanding of food manufacturing, knowledge of Lean Principles (Six Sigma qualification preferred), and ability to work independently.
  • Qualifications: Previous experience within an FMCG or dairy industry is advantageous but not essential.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
