We are recruiting a senior Costs Lawyer/Draftsperson to work in-house and bring their significant experience to progress our legal aid family team.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of legal aid billing and CCMS, with the ability to input into ongoing improvements in electronic data input.

They will have direct communication with the Financial Director and Head of Child Law department to ensure excellent standards are presented to the Legal Aid Agency.

The position is primarily based at our Dewsbury office, with the opportunity for hybrid working once established in the role.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualities brought to the role.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of legal aid billing.
  • Work closely with the financial director to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with agency requirements.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members on legal aid billing procedures.
