Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Lead Business Partner

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental Business Lead to join our Health, Safety & Environmental Team on a permanent basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for self-development within a diverse and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the Torus Group Health, Safety & Environmental Policy & Strategy.
  • Provide leadership to the central health and safety function.
  • Offer specialist environmental guidance to ensure comprehensive support is available to all stakeholders across the Group.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous review of Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System in line with legislation, best practices, and audit requirements.
  • Ensure the Group remains informed of current and future legislative requirements, maintaining legal compliance in all health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Manage and resource the central support team to adapt to the organisation's evolving needs as it grows.
  • Establish strong relationships with the Senior Management Team and the Group's operational functions.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of operational health and safety plans through business partnering and technical support provision.

Requirements:

  • Hold a professional health and safety qualification equivalent of NEBOSH diploma level.
  • Hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Have a relevant CSCS Card.
  • Have excellent construction experience.
  • Be a chartered member of IOSH (or working towards).
  • Hold or working towards an environmental management qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Environmental certificate, or equivalent).
  • Be highly organised with the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • Be a team worker with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
