Job Description

This is a full-time post based in Park Community School, where you will serve the community as a chaplaincy and youth worker. The role involves establishing and leading new ways of worshipping while being supported by a loving and open parish church.

You will use your skills from youth work, chaplaincy, and leadership to build faith and a new worshipping community on the vibrant estate. This opportunity has funding for five years initially, and you will be able to create invitational and worship activities within the school day.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a new worshipping community with discipleship opportunities for adults and children
  • Link the school's work clearly with the existing church congregation and activity to provide a coherent but mixed ecology in the parish
  • Work on invitational and worship activities within the school day

This role is part of our diocese's Vision and Strategy for the next five years, which includes plans to create new church plants and worshipping communities across our diocese. You will have the opportunity to contribute to this vision and strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a vibrant Christian with a strong faith. Salary is in the range £33,000-£34,000.
