We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to take on a leadership role, managing clinical and managerial responsibilities in our fast-paced Surgical Trauma Assessment Unit (STAU) or Same Day Emergency Care unit (SDEC).

">About the Role
  • This position involves assessing, investigating, and treating patients with surgical/trauma & orthopaedic/ENT/maxilla-facial conditions.
  • As a leader and role model, you will adopt a flexible approach to manage clinical and managerial responsibilities, ensuring high-quality nursing care for patients.
  • You will work closely with doctors, ACPs, AHPs, Clinical Site Managers, and Health Care Support Workers to provide excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Nurse In Charge of either STAU or SDEC, coordinating the care of patients, accepting referrals, and managing the nursing team.
  2. Assessing and treating patients with complex surgical and trauma conditions.
  3. Leading by example, demonstrating excellent leadership and clinical skills to motivate and inspire your team.
  4. Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care provided.

We offer a competitive salary range of £38,890 - £44,503 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and career progression.
