We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our clients team in Coleraine.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production operations run smoothly by managing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting cost-saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Raise purchase orders for materials and services according to production schedules, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  2. Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time, working proactively to reduce lead times
  3. Identify and escalate delivery issues that could impact production schedules
  4. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  5. Manage multiple databases to keep information accurate and transparent for all platform users
  6. Foster successful communication across departments, building strong relationships in a multi-site environment
  7. Assist in cost-saving projects to support the business's financial objectives
  8. Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing and maintain compliance with company policies
  9. Implement ideas that enhance accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative role
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to handle data effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • A methodical approach to problem-solving, with solid mathematical and analytical abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to prioritise and meet deadlines
