As a Compliance Monitoring Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our bank operates in accordance with the highest regulatory standards. You will work closely with our Compliance Monitoring Manager and Senior Compliance Manager to deliver a second line of defence capability that is highly respected and integrated into the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan to ensure effective oversight and testing of key activities.
  • Collaborate with key business areas to identify areas for improvement and develop remedial actions to enhance processes, quality assurance, employee competency, and customer experience.
  • Provide 2LoD support, advice, guidance, and challenge throughout the compliance monitoring process.
  • Log and monitor remedial actions to ensure closure and maintain a clear audit trail.
  • Contribute to the production of targeted and meaningful reporting and management information for governance committees.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working in a FinTech digital bank, UK bank, or regulatory body.
  • Technical understanding of UK banking regulations.
  • Methodical and organised approach to tasks, with the ability to manage time and deliver projects within deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulation into business requirements.
  • Strong investigation skills, with the ability to clearly document findings with evidence in support.
