About the Placement

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with children and young people aged 4-18 in partnership with Place2Be. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will provide emotional and therapeutic support to children in our partner schools.

Our Approach

  • We provide a comprehensive induction programme and regular supervision to ensure you have the support you need to excel in this role.
  • Our placements are term-time only and run for one academic year, with opportunities to stay with us beyond this period.
  • You will have the chance to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year, which are recognised as continuing professional development time.
  • Our placements are an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, with over 2/3 of our clinical staff having previously completed a placement with us.

Requirements

  • You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or Clinical Psychologist, or studying towards one of these professions.
  • You will have relevant experience of direct work with children, or be studying towards a qualification that includes this experience.
