About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry works across the trust, ensuring that essential services are maintained 24/7.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out carpentry works to a high standard, adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of construction methods and practices
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment
Person Specification
  • Recognised apprenticeship in carpentry or a related trade
  • Level 3 vocational trade certificate in carpentry or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a commercial or industrial maintenance role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and practices
  • Ability to work at heights and climb ladders
