Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Consultant to join our Water Consulting team. As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery and managing your own work packages. This technical role will involve servicing the onshore energy and highway sectors in Scotland and across the UK, with potential opportunities to operate in other sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical report writing, including preparing internal and external documents to support client projects, including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related technical publications.
  • Fieldwork surveys, including safety preparations and efficient organisation and delivery of site work. These are often in remote locations across all seasons, with an expectation of regular overnight trips away from home.
  • Use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for fieldwork preparation, data analysis and figure production.
  • Success will be demonstrated in terms of the technical quality of deliverables, meeting client and stakeholder requirements, whilst understanding and working safely within financial and programme requirements.
  • There may also be the opportunity to work with the wider Water team on tasks such as flood risk and hydromorphological assessments.
