The Role.

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join our team in the North East. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for providing essential electrical or mechanical support on production and ancillary machinery, ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities.

  1. Improving machinery reliability through maintenance activities, modification, and good engineering practices.
  2. Carrying out routine maintenance activities to ensure equipment performance is maintained and optimised.
  3. Fault finding and repairs in breakdown situations, using engineering drawings and machine manuals.
  4. Carrying out PPM tasks for all key equipment.
  5. Assisting the MRO team maintain spare parts stores stock levels and records.
  6. Undergoing training to maintain or improve competency and skill levels.
  7. Operating with a degree of autonomy, working within the parameters of department deliverables and health and safety legislation.
  8. Providing support and assistance to the production and engineering departments.
  9. Carrying out routine inspections and either repair or report defects to management.

Requirements.

We require an engineering qualification in electrical or mechanical maintenance, with experience in maintaining production machinery and fault finding in control panels on PLC's, VSD's and relay logic circuits.
