Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Your new company is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. As a key member of the purchase ledger department, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and compliance, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and compliance
  • Deal with branch and supplier queries, resolving issues efficiently
  • Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate records
  • Provide advice and support to managers on Purchase Ledger activities
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and weekly supplier payments
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly expenses and CIS payments
  • Adhere to strict month-end accounting deadlines and company policies
Requirements:
  • Previous accounts experience in a similar role, with the ability to handle large amounts of data
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and data analysis
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
