What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nightshift Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. As a Nightshift Engineer, you will provide critical support to our factory operations, ensuring that all breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and improvement work are carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • To diagnose complex faults and implement effective remedial actions to meet quality and efficiency standards.
  • To propose and implement improvements to equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • To collaborate with production teams to drive an increase in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • To dismantle and reassemble production equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To complete job report sheets and breakdown reports for all work undertaken.
  • To ensure accurate booking of parts from the stores department.
  • To assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • To contribute to special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • To work closely with contractors and adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols.
  • To maintain a culture of continuous improvement throughout the factory.
  • To support the company's risk management strategy.

Requirements

  • A recognized apprenticeship to ONC/HNC level or equivalent standard with a proven track record in electrical control systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with experience in both areas.
  • Good mechanical knowledge and experience working in a food environment.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
