Equipment Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate will be working in Ipswich for a leading plant and equipment hire company, performing yard labourer duties on a full-time permanent basis. This role involves maintaining the upkeep of the yard, ensuring all areas are clean and safe, loading and unloading equipment, preparing them for hire, and reporting damage or missing items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and prepare equipment for hire
- Maintain a clean and tidy yard and storage areas
- Work effectively as part of a small team
- Load and unload equipment from vehicles
- Inspect and report any damage or missing items
- Assist with stock taking and inventory management
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction hire industry
- A good level of physical fitness
- A counterbalance forklift licence
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Benefits include a pension scheme and a full-time permanent position with no weekend work.
