Manufacturing Assembly Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Specialist to join our client's team at Pertemps Solihull.
Your role will involve using various hand and power tools, operating machinery such as a guillotine and brake press, and reading technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hand and power tools proficiently to fabricate conveyor systems and steel work
- Utilize a guillotine and brake press for cutting and bending metal sheets
- Interpret and follow technical drawings to meet manufacturing specifications
- Assist with general workshop duties and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform basic machine operations and use a band saw for steel cutting
- Manage stock control and ensure inventory accuracy
- Prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing work methods when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals
- Possess a desirable FLT Counterbalance license for efficient material handling
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Experience operating a guillotine, brake press, and overhead crane (overhead crane experience advantageous)
- Basic machine operation skills and knowledge of band saw for steel cutting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work methods
- Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- FLT Counterbalance license (desirable)
You will receive a competitive hourly rate of £12.00 - £13.00phr and work a day shift (Monday to Friday).
